APC4
Description
The APC 4 is a low-cost, simple-to-operate controller designed for regulating either fan speed or a variable heater triac. The unit has a fixed temperature control range of 15°C to 40°C and a maximum current load capacity of 4 amps, which is sufficient to control a 630 mm fan.
Using a remote temperature sensor, it can detect the temperature of an area (such as in a chicken or pig shed). The front panel features two control knobs: one for setting the required temperature (in degrees Celsius), and the other for setting the minimum fan speed (marked 1 to 10).
A neon indicator lights up to show that the unit is receiving mains power. An override switch is provided to disable automatic mode and manually run the fan or heater at full power.
On the internal circuit board, a configurable link allows the unit to be switched between heating and cooling modes—or vice versa.
